O Ring NBR
O-ring is a circular sealing component, usually made of rubber or other elastic materials. Its cross section is circular or oval, which can provide good sealing performance when compressed. The sealing function is achieved by mechanical deformation of the O ring which is situated inside of a special bed of the element to be sealed. O-ring is widely used in various mechanical equipment, instruments and pipeline systems.
Depending on the material, the static service pressure is less than20MPa. Sometimes it can also be used for dynamic, and the service pressure in dynamic is less than 5MPa. And semiconductor vacuum seal.
Nitrile rubber, with a service temperature of minus 40℃ to 125℃, is resistant to mineral oil and has good wear resistance. It is most used in oil seals, but it cannot be used in ketone and lipid polar solvents.
Its main functions are:
1. Prevent liquid or gas leakage: O-rings can effectively prevent liquid or gas leakage at the joint. For example, in a pipeline system, O-rings can be placed on the joints to avoid pipeline leakage.
2. Cushion vibration and shock: O-rings have certain flexibility and elasticity, which can cushion the vibration and shock of mechanical equipment, thereby reducing equipment noise and wear.
3. Heat-resistant and corrosion-resistant: O-rings are usually made of rubber or heat-resistant and corrosion-resistant materials, which can work in harsh environmental conditions and have a long service life.
